I'm a birthday and cake smash photographer based in Barnes, working with families across Richmond upon Thames, Wandsworth, Hammersmith and Fulham, Chiswick, Putney, Wimbledon, Notting Hill, Kensington and Chelsea, and the rest of London. I come to you — whether that's a first birthday at home, a cake smash set up in your living room, or a small party with friends and family.
There's no forced posing for the camera. I photograph the party as it actually happens — the candle-blowing, the mess, the relatives fussing over the birthday child — so you get real reactions rather than a lined-up group shot. Cake smash sessions are relaxed and playful; I let your child explore the cake at their own pace and just keep shooting.
Bring your own cake and theme, or I can point you to suppliers I've worked with before. Sessions run around 1–1.5 hours, so there's time for the cake smash itself plus relaxed portraits with parents, siblings and the birthday child in between — not just one moment, but the whole story of the day.
When to book
Cake smash sessions are usually booked around a child's first birthday, but they work for any milestone birthday. For parties, I recommend booking 3–4 weeks ahead so I can plan around the event timing and lighting at your venue.
